We Salute Young Nails (and the 1249th Battalion)

by NAILS Magazine | September 23, 2011 | Bookmark +

Remember when we told you about SPC Amy Feltzin of the 1249th Battalion stationed in Afghanistan? She's also a licensed nail tech and she wrote to Young Nails asking for products. They, being the awesome guys they are, obliged. SPC Feltzin did a bunch of the female soldier's nails and wrote back to Young Nails, "We actually just did some fabulous nails last night! Thanks so much for everything! We love the new mani•Q Gel Polish! It is the greatest invention — totally soldier-proof!”

That's an awesome story. But IT GETS BETTER. In honor of the women in the 1249th Battalion and all U.S. soldiers, Young NAILS has created a new mani•Q  color — Green 1249. It's a perfect army green, not too yellow and not too bright. Just the right combination of strong and true. A lot like the battalion who it was named for.

And if it couldn't get any better — for a limited time, Young Nails will be donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale of Green 1249 to Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. This organization helps provide financial and college grants to surviving children and spouses affected by the loss of a parent or spouse during his or her deployment in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iragi Freedom.

Greg and Habib, we salute you.
