Oprah’s 35 Second Video Gift To Her Nail Technician

by NAILS Magazine | October 12, 2011 | Bookmark +

Oprah Winfrey made a 35 second video from her iPad that instantly changed the life of her nail technician, Gloria L. Williams. Known as “The Footnanny,” Williams is the owner of www.footnanny.com, and her video, posted on August 14, currently has 80,000+ YouTube hits and more than 7,000 likes on the Oprah Winfrey Facebook page.

The video has also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live (twice), Inside Edition (twice), Huffingtonpost.com, and has been listed high on Google search’s like “Oprah’s Sudsy Foot”,“Oprah’s Footnanny,” and  “Happy Sunday by Oprah” on YouTube.

Most companies that are going to be on the “Oprah’s Favorite Things” segment receive about six weeks notice;  Gloria had about six seconds but she is still standing tall.

Williams' mission statement for footnanny.com is “wellness beyond a pedicure,” that creates a total experience for each individual client. And through the power of Oprah just pressing the send button on her iPad, she put footnanny.com on the minds of people around the world.

The endorsement has taken Williams’ five-year business plan for www.footnanny.com and made it present day. Today, she has been able to provide professional seminars and consulting for salons, nail techs, and small business owners, and has launched a Footnanny Soy Foot Cream Product Line.

She has expanded her business by creating a top-level event team, and begun to negotiate marketing packages with other companies. Visit her website www.footnanny.com to learn more.
