Please...Do Not Be Alarmed

by NAILS Magazine | March 8, 2012 | Bookmark +

Editor's Note: Due to our alarm (not at Makeda's salon, but at needing to get everything done at NAILS' California-headquarters before heading up to America's Beauty Show in Chicago), we weren't able to get this post up when Makeda sent it in last week. So...just keep in mind that the "sort-of" open was last weekend and tomorrow we'll have Makeda's update for you on how that went.

Do Not Be Alarmed....That’s more for me than it is for you {smile}. I was hoping to have a picture of our completely assembled pedicure area and some images of the shop, but that’s not quite the case. As we speak, the carpenter is drilling and banging away. The shop actually looks more like a construction zone than it ever has.  Did I mention that we have our first official spa party on Saturday? {Deep gasp}. Or that the money tree seems to have run out of green? {Double deep gasp}. Or even that I don’t feel comfortable hosting our "Tip Top Soft Opening Party" until next weekend? But, please, do not be alarmed.

I still plan to be "sort-of" open this weekend. A challenge? Likely, but I can’t talk about it anymore because I just might start to panic {smile}.

Other than that, I’m trying to eat an elephant and finally realizing how huge the thing actually is.

Must end with a happy thought. Check out these delish-smelling gourmet soaps made with goat’s milk from Lavish Me Soap Bar. Mmmmmm...
