Gelish Birthday Surprise

by NAILS Magazine | August 8, 2012 | Bookmark +

Last week associate publisher Michelle Mullen and I went to Hand & Nail Harmony during their international educator training to say hi to their international educators and surprise CEO Danny Haile with a fun cake (or two) for his birthday.

Danny’s been in the industry for quite some time. (He started EZ Flow in 1986, selling it to AII in 2005 before starting Hand & Nail Harmony in 2010.) A nail tech himself, he was a top competitor back in the day.

I also got to take a tour of the company’s three large buildings (they just added a third to make room for their expanding business). The 107,000-sq.-ft. “house that Gelish built” includes bottling, packaging, warehouse space, executive offices, and a state-of-the-art training center that can hold about 110 people. There were close to 100 there for the four-day international certification training.
