Halftime performance

It all began with a phone call on January 26. Celebrity nail stylist Lisa Logan was asked to jump on the first available flight to New Orleans to create the nail styles that would be worn for the Super Bowl.

The nails needed to be created a week in advance in order for Beyoncé and her dancers to record highly specialized holographic effects for the halftime spectacle. All the backup dancers needed manicures that would match Beyoncé’s to create the illusion of Beyoncé having multiple arms.

Logan began working as soon as she arrived at the hotel, creating super long nail tips covered with gold and matte gold chevron Minx. The nails were so long, two Minx templates were needed to cover each tip. Beyoncé also wore these Minx tips to her January 31 press conference in which she sang a live rendition of the National Anthem.

Fans can create their own DIY Minx nails by logging onto the Minx Tasting Room. Minx can be worn on natural nails or tips and are a celebrity favorite.
