by NAILS Magazine | June 7, 2013 | Bookmark +

CND is as well known for its science-backed product innovations as it is for its fun parties, and on Sunday, June 2, the nail manufacturer brought the two together to celebrate the official industry launch of CND Vinylux Weekly Polish.

After an energetic, fashion-focused video, company founder Jan Arnold and education manager Roxanne Valinoti took to the stage to tout the scientific evidence of Vinylux’s week-long staying capability. More than 250 top salon owners, nail techs, distributors, members of the press, and other VIPs were regaled with poetry and songs dedicated to the newest member of the CND power polish family.

CND founder and artistic director Jan Arnold entertained guests, including NAILS senior editor Beth Livesay and editor Hannah Lee, with tales of fashion week and nail inspiration.

Vinylux Weekly Polish launches with 62 fashion-forward colors and CND Shellac fans will be happy to know that 40 of the company's popular Shellac shades will be available in Vinylux. The Weekly Polish goes on just like regular polish (no UV curing) and according to the company it dries in about eight and a half minutes. The patent-pending Pro Light Technology in the Vinylux Weekly Top Coat is formulated to become more durable when exposed to natural light, so it actually strengthens its resistance to chips as your nails are exposed to ambient light throughout the week.

The CND team celebrated the official launch of Vinylux Weekly Polish at a Power Party on Sunday evening.

CND's own Joby Leahy and Dana D'Andraia made up a fun colltion .
