Who would have thought the nail care industry’s most innovative company would get its start with a chance discovery in a dentist’s office? That’s where Dr. Stuart Nordstrom (demonstrating to his family, in the photo at the right), a practicing dentist, got the idea for a new nail enhancement product: A patient remarked that the material used to prepare temporary caps smelled like the material used to sculpt porcelain nails.

CND Shellac was featured on Extra! with Maria Lopez last week for a "Friend" giveaway. In addition to showing the service, extra talked to Paint Shop Beverly Hills owner Julia Serquinia and CND's Jan Arnold. They gave away 15 Shellac services to Extra Friends who knew the secret password "Shellac". That's pretty cool.
