NAILS joined Orly at Perch in Downtown L.A. to celebrate the brand’s Made in L.A. campaign Monday night. The event featured a few surprise guests to honor Jeff Pink’s 40-year legacy at Orly.

Guests enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and an amazing dinner on the rooftop restaurant. Communications manager John Galea said the view was the main reason Orly chose this location. The brand’s new campaign, Made in L.A., focuses on the company’s Southern California roots. While taking in the skyline, guests of honor Jack Sperling (the man who introduced Pink to the beauty industry), Deborah Carver (of Creative Age Publications), and Leslie Stevens (representing PR agency LaForce + Stevens) gave speeches and raised glasses to Pink’s success. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was an appearance by L.A. mayor Eric Garcetti, who stopped in to present Pink with a certificate from the city of Los Angeles.

Garcetti’s surprise appearance may have taken the proverbial cake, but the actual Epix bottle-shaped cake that was served for dessert was also pretty impressive.
