NYFW Nails: OPI for Adeam

by NAILS Staff | February 11, 2019

Celebrity nail artist Mei Kawajiri (@nailsbymei) used OPI’s new Tokyo Collection to create show-stopping nails for the Adeam New York Fashion Week show. Two nail looks were created in bold blue and soft petal pink, both completed with elegant pearl accents.

Get the look:

1. File the nails with OPI Edge Silver 180/400 File into an almond shape – the most flattering for all hands.

2. Polish the nails with OPI Nail Lacquer Chopstix and Stones for a deep blue color or OPI Nail Lacquer Judo’nt Say? for soft petal color. Apply two coats of Chopstix and Stones or three coats of Judo’nt Say?

3. Follow with OPI top coat.

4. Once dry, finish the look by gluing pearl accents to the nails, using one large pearl close to the cuticle and smaller sizes throughout.

Mini Masterpiece Nail Art 2019: Urban Drama

Congratulations to Jodie Rahaley, who took the top spot in this year’s Mini Masterpiece nail art contest after entering the two previous years. Her detailed, contrasting rendition of “Urban Expressions” by Michael Lang impressed the judges. Other beautiful entries ranged from the ever-popular Vermeer to Dali and Basquiat.
