PFW: Young Nails for Fenty X Puma

by Beth Livesay | October 17, 2016

Rhianna has been a celebrity known for embracing nail art. Now that she's embraced the world of fashion design, models in her Fenty X Puma show sported fully designed tips. Full well tips were used for this look and applied to each model with self-adhesive tabs.  Caption polishes used were Yeah What She Said, Heaven Help Me, Look Don’t Touch, and Eat My Dust.

1. Coat tip with ManiQ gel-polish in a similar color to the polish that is applied as the final coat. Pink 106 for the pink design, White 101 for the white design, Black 101 for the black design, and Champagne 101 for the gold design.

2. Once ManiQ is cured, remove the sticky layer with ManiQ cleanser. Sculpt 3-4 acrylic flowers on each nail in random places, slightly overlapping each other.

3. Apply 1-2 heavy coats of Caption Polish. Nails are meant to look like a frosted cake so  apply generously. Once Caption is applied, remove excess polish from brush and dab at the acrylic flowers to bring out definition. A light touch of Caption Putting it All Out There was applied over the pink nail.

Mini Masterpiece Nail Art 2019: Urban Drama

by Katherine Fleming

Congratulations to Jodie Rahaley, who took the top spot in this year’s Mini Masterpiece nail art contest after entering the two previous years. Her detailed, contrasting rendition of “Urban Expressions” by Michael Lang impressed the judges. Other beautiful entries ranged from the ever-popular Vermeer to Dali and Basquiat.
