As a Creative Boot Camp attendee, I’m pretty familiar with the Creative Nail Design group. They’re fun, cutting-edge, hard workers, and the company and its educators consider themselves one big family. After 20 years of educating and inspiring nail technicians, Creative called a Global Nail Summit to celebrate how far they’ve come and how exciting the future of nails will be.
More than 250 nail technicians from around the globe (including England, Germany, New Zealand, and Japan) came to Las Vegas for the four-day education-focused event. The first three days of Global Summit included a Creative history lesson, an inspirational speech by gold medel gymnast Tim Daggett, sanitation training, hands-on workshops, the 20th anniversary party, and a fashion show that tracked the development of nails from 1970 to 2000 and beyond. At the fashion show, Creative debuted its stylebook, “Style Means Creating a Strong Image,” which includes stylized images and step-by-steps that nail technicians can take back to their salons to build up their skills and service menus.
