May’s #NailOn Talks About the Business of Pedicures

by Holly Schippers | May 16, 2019

Spring tends to herald the beginning of pedicure season, if you haven’t already been doing them year round. With than in mind, #BFFmel and I opted to focus on feet for the May broadcast of #NailOnwithHollyandMel.

Please forgive the technical difficulties, I was trying to join the broadcast from the mountains of northern Georgia where I was attending Nail Camp East and there was absolutely no phone signal there for me. That left me at the mercy of the wifi and with all the nail professionals and the incoming group of people taking over the campground that day also on the wifi, it just wasn’t up for a live broadcast.

Hopefully you will still get something out of it. Katie Barnes makes a guest appearance and chats about pedicure trends in the U.K., Mel talks to viewers about popular pedicure add-on services, Kim Jones joins us to inform viewers how the Foot Forward Summit impacted her business, and Mel and I discussed pedicure business in general, as well as touching on dry pedicures.

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
