Lavette and I celebrating in Orlando at the NTNA Social in June.

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the new Nailsmag.com! The site took years of collaboration between editors, designers, consultants, our web team, and even some of you, our readers, to pull together. It was a huge undertaking and it often wasn’t easy, but I hope the resulting site is one you find useful for your business and one you genuinely enjoy scrolling through. Some things I love about our new site in particular are:

• The clean look. A comment we often got about our previous site was that the content felt crowded. We have over 30 years of NAILS content on our site, and it displays nicely with more space and larger hero images.
• It’s mobile responsive. We know as nail techs, you rely on your phone and tablet while at work. Our new site makes all our content look even better on mobile.
• Our newest blog: Nail Attire. Like our site, this blog has been years in the making and a true labor of love for Lavette Cephus. Our vision for this blog is to have a space focused on nail tech style. Dressing for a day of work behind the table doesn’t have to be bland. Lavette shows us that your clothing can be as creative as your nail designs.
• The Awards & Contests tab puts your achievements and opportunities front and center. NAILS has so many ways you can compete, get involved, and win, so it’s important to me that those opportunities be highlighted. In this section, you can read about NAILS Next Top Nail Artist, our Readers’ Choice Awards, in-house contests, monthly freebies, and more.

I think the NAILS team was ready for a fresher look for all the content we lovingly produce. Just as you change up your nail look, salon design, or personal style, it’s important to stay on top of your website, logo, and look of your business. It’s my hope that this site serves your needs and keeps you up-to-date.

We want your user experience to be a positive one, and we post daily to ensure that there’s always something new on the site. Remember to check Nailsmag.com every day or whenever you’re curious about something in the industry. We pride ourselves on being your resource for everything nails, whether in print or otherwise.
