Foot-Focused Event for U.S. and Canadian Techs Comes to Chicago in September 2020

Fort Myers, Fla-based Nailcare Academy and Toronto’s North American School of Podology have joined forces to provide an educational conference focusing on foot care. The conference will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel Chicago in Oak Brook, Ill., on September 19-21, 2020. The event will feature expert speakers on a variety of topics, as well as many supportive vendors who have foot care products and services for nail techs and pedicurists.

On Saturday, September 19, a reception will be held for the attendees and vendors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  On Sunday and Monday, speakers and workshops will provide important information for technicians who perform pedicures. Registration and breakfast will from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday, with the first speaker at 9 a.m. continuing until 5 p.m. Lunch will be provided for all attendees Sunday and Monday.

Monday morning begins at 8 a.m. with an hour of time with the vendors, followed by more speakers. At noon, lunch, vendor time and workshops will be offered to increase the knowledge and skills of the pedicurists. “The number of pedicurists is increasing every year, and we want to support their safe skills. We also believe that education directly increases their income and we’re all for that!” says Janet McCormick, co-founder of Nailcare Academy.

“Our speakers will be experts in their fields” says Katharin von Gavel, founder of North American School of Podology. “Each will speak for an hour plus question-and-answer time.” The list of vendors, speakers and topics will be available on the website, www.causeforfeet.com soon. CEHs will be offered to Illinois technicians and cosmetologists as approved by the International Nail Technician Association (INTA) and Cosmetologists Chicago.
