Fashionable Nails, Fashion Week Win

Nail artists compete in a challenge to win a trip to New York City Fall Fashion Week.

A shimmering animal print nail art design won Anna Nelson of Fairfield, Calif., an all-expense paid trip to New York City Fall Fashion Week (held February 11-18, 2010), courtesy of CND. The nail manufacturer sponsored its first ever online Nail Style Competition, challenging nail techs to create unique looks using the company’s Colour & Effects collection. Nelson’s look incorporates CND’s Oilslick, Ice Blue Shimmer, and Sapphire Sparkle, and her first-place finish entitled her to meet CND co-founder and style director Jan Arnold and shadow the team’s nail professionals backstage. Five runners-up received a CND salon colour display valued at $690.
