NAILS 35th Anniversary Flashback: 2012

First Lady Michelle Obama's lavender-greige nail polish got a lot of attention at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

On the opening night of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, First Lady Michelle Obama delivered a heartfelt speech in support of her husband, but it was her style that had the media — including NAILS — buzzing the next day. Mrs. Obama had paired a poppy pink Tracy Reese dress with contrasting lavender-greige polish on her nails. Soon after, the Obama campaign revealed the iridescent grey lilac hue to be Artistic Nail Design’s Colour Gloss Soak-Off Gel in Vogue.
