Happy New Year! It’s time to get things rolling for the year to come. I’ve got some very exciting news to share. I will be teaching my first official guest of show class at ISSE in Long Beach, January 29 and 30. The topic will be #naileyes and social media. The idea is to show you how to find endless inspiration, interpret it, and profit from it. Then cover some of the nuances of social media that will make your business more visible. Whether you are working towards building a clientele, looking to make some changes and be inspired, or wanting to gain some notoriety, this class is for you. The class is included in your show ticket price, so just plan to make time to be there!

Knowing that I have a strong global following, it was very exciting when offered to partner with me and broadcast the class live. If you will not be at the show, this means you can still sign up and “attend” the class. There are only 100 spaces available for online attendees, so you will want to sign up as soon as possible at

The online class will be available Monday, January 30 at 10 a.m. PST which translates to the following times:

London, UK Monday 6 p.m.

Auckland, NZ Tuesday 7 a.m.

Sydney, Australia Tuesday  5 a.m.

Chicago, Ill. (CST) Monday 12 noon

New York, N.Y. (EST) Monday 1 p.m.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Monday 2 p.m.

If your time zone is not shown, you can visit and enter the city Long Beach, Calif., at 10 a.m., Monday, 1/30/17. Hope to see you there either in person or via the web!

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

by Michele Baker

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
