Holly Interviews Dr. Spalding

Do you consider your salon a safe and clean environment? Do you have podiatrists that refer their clients to you or wish that you did? Join me Wednesday evening 5/27/20 for a Live chat on Facebook with Dr. Spalding to get some idea of what it takes to be that level of clean and safe. A podiatrist is not impressed with the Cosmetology Board standard of a low level disinfectant or minimum cleaning requirements. Do you go above the requirements and do more than the state minimum for your area?

Dr Spalding is creating a group to unite medical professionals and salon professionals where they can find common ground, discuss expectations, and provide references to each other. A world where mutual respect exists because it is earned. Bring your questions and take notes, I plan to ask him lots of questions on behalf of the industry as well.

You can click to join the event on Facebook for reminders and to leave questions in the comments if you won’t be able to attend live.

Wednesday May 27 at 7 pm CST on the FingerNailFixer Facebook channel guest Dr. Spalding discusses the ACMFCE program and the vision for a future collaboration between podiatry and pedicures.

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

by Michele Baker

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
