Go Red for a Good Cause

Friday, February 6 is National Go Red Day. Go Red Day helps raise awareness for heart disease and stroke in women (the number one killer of women). Help spread the word by doing one or more of the following. Wear red clothing. If you work in a salon, invite your colleagues to join you. Consider giving out prizes or discounts to clients who wear red as well. You can also paint your nails red or offer deals on red polish/nail art or heart nail art tomorrow. Whether you’re wearing red on your nails or clothing, make sure and snap a pic then share it with #GoRedSelfie on social media.

Both NAILS and The American Heart Association would love to see your participation in this campaign. Here’s a few designs we heart and can get you thinking about tomorrow’s nails.

Elaina Grant, Inverness, England

Hana Le, Fairfield, N.J.

Azusa Barbie, Los Angeles

Tish Lemmons, Glo Salon, Paragould, Ark.

Chanelle Bone, Blak Sandz Nails & Make Up, Auckland, New Zealand

For more heart-shaped nail art, see this month’s issue of Nail Art Gallery Magazine.

Go ahead and go red, for women everywhere.
